The Word

Seeing the World Through the Word

Wrong side of history or right side of eternity

Witnessing“You’re on the wrong side of history,” is said of those who adhere to biblical principles in the face of social change perpetuated in the name of progression,  enlightenment and tolerance.  Yes, many who advocate for Satan-inspired secular humanistic perspectives and acceptance of what God calls sin argue that those who advocate for biblical truth on various matters will be on the “wrong side of history.”

They believe that somehow the record of history as perceived by future generations, who will have shifted further from biblical truth, will be an indisputable source from which man, feeling justified in his own direction, will judge critically, and arrogantly those who opposed what they will believe to be societal and cultural evolution, that will (in actuality) be society’s further decline into Satan’s agenda.

I submit that God is infinite, with no beginning nor end, and though you may be deemed by the sinfully perverted and infinitely finite perceptions of man, to be on the wrong side of history for your biblically backed and morally sound choices, if you are on God’s side you will ultimately be on the right side of eternity.

Don’t fall for the ideologies of Satan that are permeating the world, thoughts, hearts and minds of people, leaders and governments. Don’t be ‘shamed’ into acquiescing to the pressures of our culture that are purposed solely to silence the church. And I stress, purposed to silence the church.

Don’t be silenced

Please take note, born again believers, those that are blood-washed, water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance; our mission, given by God is to be witnesses of the Gospel of Jesus Christ:

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.

Please note that the ideologies of this world are diametrically opposed to the Word, Will and Spirit of God, because they are inspired by the god of the sinful system of this world, Satan. The fact that much of society’s “evolution” and “enlightenment” opposes biblical morality and values is no accident. It is the deliberate work of Satan and his demons, in the spirit realm working through political leaders, court systems, local governments, grass roots efforts, the media, the education system, false religions and more.

If you look closely you will see that the real target of the message of “tolerance” (an ideology that pushes the acceptance of all things) is biblical Christianity that calls all sin from lying, fornication, adultery, witchcraft, homosexuality, hypocrisy, hatred and more, sin.

God demands holiness

God’s love embraces all people and is afforded to all, but does not dilute His stance against that which opposes his Holy character and nature: sin. God’s holiness is divisive, he cannot accept a sinner as he/she is, though He loves them as he/she is. The blood of Jesus Christ, freely given by the Father compelled by his LOVE for the world, is the only means by which the unacceptable sins and sinful nature of man can be dealt with through, repentance, water baptism in Jesus name and reception of the Holy Ghost so that the unacceptable man can become acceptable to God.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whomsoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This, God’s message of love to humanity, identifies man’s sinful position, acknowledges what God accepts and rejects and provides a means of salvation. This is love.

The “tolerance” message disguised as a “love” message (which opposes the expression and standards of God’s love as expressed through the gospel of Jesus Christ) is an ideology based on relative morality, where there is no acknowledgement nor acceptance of God-established absolute truth as the guide for humankind, for our present and eternal benefit and the only means to attain a right relationship with our Creator. Our Creator who has every right and the authority to establish boundaries – that which is right and wrong and acceptable and unacceptable – for our present and eternal well-being. He loves us more than we can imagine and wants the best for all of us!

Be a witness, bold and unashamed

Church don’t lose sight of the mission to witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ: his love-inspired gift of his life, his death, burial and resurrection for the sins of humanity.

Satan is attempting to obscure the churches vision with the noise and distractions of political correctness. He’s attempting to silence us in a world of social media where individuals and groups can be speedily marginalized for saying in love biblical truth like: YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN.

Don’t be pushed into the shadows and the comfort of the four walls of your churches, and the security of the camaraderie of fellow believers as you sing to, preach to and teach one another. There is a world that God has sent us to, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. A world that the devil is attempting to “fortify” against the gospel with secular humanism and a deceitful message of “tolerance.”

He is hardening the hearts and minds of men, women and children against the message of hope, truth, righteousness and eternal life which comes only through the gospel of Jesus Christ that we are called to bring them. That’s Satan’s strategy on the world’s side.

On the churches side Satan wants to make us afraid of bringing the decisive message of the gospel to a world that is more vocally opposed to its standards. He is attempting to engender fear of the repercussions to our employment (if your publicly expressed convictions and professing of the gospel are opposed by potential or current employers), personal progress, acceptance, potential romantic relationships and more. He’s attempting to invoke feelings of fear of being ostracized or persecuted – personally or digitally on social media. And for many, it’s working.

They’re afraid of being on the “wrong side of history” as the pervasive and persistent digital record of the modern age dutifully records (via smartphones, social media and more) our positions and convictions which are sometimes used by enemies of the gospel to silence believers through persecution for holding to and making known those biblically based convictions.

There’s only one side that matters, God’s side

chooseOur time here is brief, and intended as such, as early Christians knew it was as they wisely adopted God’s perspective, an eternal perspective, to their existence and purpose. They were not silenced by the ideals of popular culture. In fact, amid persecution they continued their witness. They sang praises en route to their executions. They gloried in tribulations, they counted it all joy when they fell into diverse temptations.

Saints of God, Satan’s methods are subtle. He’s attempting to lull the church into silence by gradually rallying the world, our culture and our nation to bear its collective weight and “tolerance of sin” message and ideology down upon our emotions, psyche and will as we stand on God’s standards of holiness and message of redemption through Jesus Christ. Satan wants us to waver, to find “safety” on the “right side of history” as God’s standards, and by default we, are progressively and aggressively attacked and opposed. Yet, there is no safety in sin. There is no harbor outside of the Will of God.

Sadly, anyone whose goal is to be on the right side of history, rather than on the right side of eternity has a perspective that is grossly shortsighted.
